Respite is a service designed for short-term, temporary care to our clients with the purpose of giving the parents a break from the everyday routine of raising a child with special needs. An important purpose of respite is to provide parents and families temporary relief to relax, run errands, work, etc. 

Hiring requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must complete the Hope Group hire process.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Please recognize/understand that you must be fluent in English and/or Spanish( if you're working with a Spanish speaking client) in order to complete the Orientation and Training process required by the State of Arizona and be able to work with English speaking clients.  If you do not speak English it will be difficult for you to work with a client who only speaks English.  If you wish to work with a family member/friend who speaks the same language you speak, but it is not English or Spanish, please contact the office about one-on-one language specific trainings. Habilitation is one-on-one therapy to teach and/or improve an individual's daily living, social, gross/fine motor, communication, and/or memory and organization skills. Habilitation providers will implement the goals and objectives written by the lead habilitation therapist.

Hiring requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must complete the Hope Group hire process, which includes a four hour training on ABA techniques.
Must complete at least one specialized training each year.

This position is similar to that of a habilitation provider, but with an emphasis on communication. Communication support providers are responsible for reviewing communication assessments, establishing communication objectives and strategies, maintaining data, and training family and habilitation therapists in communication activities. This position is part time and may require travel, depending on the clients that are available.

Hiring requirements:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in therapy related field
2 years experience implementing intensive communication program (assistive technology [PECS], augmentative   communication [aug-com] device, sign language, etc.)
Able to establish basic manding program
Knowledgeable of behavior management and/or adaptive activities
Must pass placement test and attend specialized training(s)
Must be interviewed and complete the Hope Group hire process, minus the generalized ABA training

This position is similar to that of a habilitation provider, but with an emphasis on Consultant written programs. Program support providers are responsible for taking data, implementing ABA Programs as written by the Consultants and communicating with Consultants as requested, including attendance of monthly meetings.

Hiring requirements:

Bachelors or Master’s degree in therapy related field or 3 years of Applied Behavior Analysis experience
A minimum of 1 year experience in therapy or education
Knowledgeable of behavior management and/or adaptive activities
Attendance of specialized training(s)
Must be interviewed and complete the Hope Group hire process

Hope Group provides behavioral consulting!  Our consultants work with families, educators, and other caregivers in our office, or in the client's home, school, and/or community. We serve persons of all ages and are available to clients statewide. Specific services our consultants provide include but are not limited to: evaluations, ABLLS assessment, in-home programming, functional behavioral assessment, 1:1 ABA therapy, school shadowing, social and play skill development, intensive program for specific behavioral issues, parent trainings, provider trainings, and school support team trainings. Habilitation-Behavioral is used to provide assessments and consultative oversight to the provision of intensive behavioral training for young children. DDD's initial focus will be to authorize this service to children who have or are at risk for autism prior to the age of 3. The Habilitation-Behavioral position, both at a Bachelor's and a Master's level, is part time and may require travel, depending on the clients that are available.  

Hiring requirements for Hab-B (Habilitation-Bachelor's):

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Education, Special Education, Child Development or Counseling and 2 years full-time experience in Behavior Therapy, Modification or Analysis. (Implementing PBS)
or
Bachelors degree in an alternative discipline and 5 years - full time experience in Behavior Therapy, Modification or Analysis. (Implementing PBS)
or
BCABA (Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst)

Training Requirements:

CIT (Client Intervention Training)
Article IX Certification
Person Centered Planning Training
Must be interviewed and complete the Hope Group hire process
ABA training may be required based upon the interviewer's discretion

Hiring requirements for Hab-M (Habilitation-Master's):

License to practice Psychology in the state of Arizona
or
BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
or
Masters Degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education or related field
and
15 hours of Graduate level course work in Behavior Analysis
and
6 months of full time, supervised employment (internship/practicum) in Behavior Analysis under the supervision
(minimum equivalent 1 hour a week) of a certified behavior analyst (BCBA) (implementing, developing, revising
behavior support plans)
