**Attention Providers: you are required to take at least one of these classes every year, but are more than welcome to come to as many as you would like. Remember, we do pay you for attending these classes. We require this training because we want the best for our clients. By taking extra classes, you will gain more skills and techniques to help your client the very best that you can!
Parents, Guardians and other family members: You are more than welcome, and strongly encouraged, to attend any of our trainings free of charge. Please also consider taking our initial
ABA training that all of our providers must take before they are hired.
All trainings are located in our office in Phoenix unless otherwise specified. Please call the office to schedule your training. If you have any questions about the content of these trainings, please contact Jessica Wing.

IMPORTANT: You must have adult CPR and 1st Aid, but we prefer a combination of adult/child. We will not accept certifications from an online class, your class must be
instructor lead.
If you choose to take the HOPE Group class, it will be free to you and your card will be property of HOPE Group. If you would like to take the classes at any of the above locations, HOPE Group will reimburse up to a maximum of $30.00 in exchange of your card(s) and a copy of your receipt.

These are all the classes that we offer throughout the year. If you see a class below that you would like to take but it is not listed on the calendars above, please contact Jessica to see when it will be offered next.
CIT I & II (Client Intervention Training): This is a 10 hour class that will run from 8-6 and will be offered on Saturdays because of the time requirement. This class will certify providers to work with clients who have behavior plans and require CIT, and is helpful to providers who work with aggressive clients. The first part of the class is 6 hours and covers defensive techniques as well as a didactic portion that covers prevention and positive behavior support. CIT II is the last 4 hours of class and covers techniques that can be used when a provider, the client or another individual is in imminent danger. Employees will be paid $25.00 for taking the class.
Developing Replacement Behaviors: This training addresses how to identify behaviors that are not socially appropriate or behaviors that will not function in your client’s life and how to introduce new behaviors that will serve as a more appropriate alternative. The goal in developing replacement behaviors is to provide your client with an appropriate alternative that will fulfill the same function as the maladaptive behavior.
How to Write Social Stories: A social story is a guide that is put together in the interest of helping a client develop appropriate social skills. It can be written in book form, put on a poster or taped on video. It is a series of steps that helps a client develop appropriate behaviors through reading and practice. In the training you will learn how to develop your own social stories that are specific to your client.
Potty Training: This training covers what you need to know before you potty train and takes you through the steps of how to potty train your client.
**More descriptions and classes coming soon!
Any suggestions for other classes that you think would be good to offer? Please contact Jessica Wing or Erica Babino.
