**Everyone is required to attend one
ABA training and one orientation class prior to being hired by
Hope Group. All trainings are located in our office in
Phoenix unless otherwise specified. Please
call the office to sign up for the date of your choice.
** Our Article IX class - which is also a
requirement for hiring - is offered the same day as our Training and
Orientation. You MUST maintain your certification in order to be
able to bill us for any time worked. If your Article IX
certification is about to expire, please call us to sign up for one
of the classes we have listed on the calendar. We can not allow you
to be recertified through another agency.

Applied Behavior
Analysis (ABA): This introductory class prepares staff and
family with the basic tools to get started with an ABA based home
program. Training includes how to begin home programs, build
rapport, gain compliance and implement designated goals. It further
details the science behind human behavior and how we use this
information to increase, decrease and maintain behavior.
Article 9: Article 9 is the
individual rights law class that discusses Title 19 service
obligations, Abuse and Neglect, Individual Support Programs and Team
Roles, Behavior Intervention Plans, Positive Teaching Techniques,
Techniques that require state approval and Prohibited techniques.
This class is required for all H.O.P.E. Group employees and expires
every 3 years. H.O.P.E Group does not release the certificates or
accept certificates from other agencies.
Orientation: This class is
designed to prepare providers to be H.O.P.E. Group employees. The
class covers policies and procedures, Criminal Disclosure Affidavit,
DDD Fraud and Abuse Policies, HIPAA, scheduling and timesheets and
payroll. Employees are required to renew their orientation in
conjunction with all Article 9 recertification classes.
CPR & First Aid: This class is
conducted by members of Phoenix Fire Department and covers adult,
child and infant emergency care. Certificates are good for two
years and must be renewed prior to expiration date in order to
remain an employee of H.O.P.E. Group. Certificates can be purchased
for $30 per class.
